Controls & everyday windows

A short reference for finding your character, skills, inventory and map.

Browse Wiki categories

Start with the main menu

The main menu lists windows with their assigned shortcuts. Character, Inventory, Skill and World Map are the first windows to learn. If a key does not open the expected window, close text entry and check the shortcut shown in the menu.

Useful shortcuts

H opens Character, I opens Inventory, K opens Skill and M opens World Map. Z opens the Travel Hub. Use the menu to find social windows and Features such as Pet Filter, Shop Search and Encyclopedia.

Prepare your action bars

Put the skills and usable items you need onto the action bar and check the assigned key shown on each slot. A shortcut is a way to use an action; moving an item shortcut is not selling or transferring the item.

The Action Slot is a skill sequence. Test your chosen skills on a suitable target and check their requirements before relying on a sequence during a difficult fight.

Keep the play area readable

Close windows that obscure your target and keep the Navigator and character status visible. Open Character when comparing stats and Inventory when comparing item requirements. Use World Map for area context, then Travel Hub for an available destination.
