Invite and accept
Invite the character you want to play with. The invitation belongs to the receiving character: they must accept it before joining. Declining leaves them outside the group. Open the Party window on both characters to check the member list before travelling.
An invitation is not a dungeon reservation. If a character is already in another party, settle which group they should join before sending another invitation.
Read the Party window
The Party window contains the member list, party level, EXP and points, along with distribution settings. The leader manages the group; members do not have the same controls. Check the selected EXP and item distribution before fighting together.
The EXP and item settings are separate. Changing how EXP is shared does not also select how loot is distributed. Agree on the settings with the group rather than assuming every party uses the same rules.
Change leader or leave
The leader can select a member and transfer leadership. Use the leave control to leave the group; the leader can also select a member for removal. Read the confirmation carefully so that you act on the intended character.
If you intend to keep adventuring together after the leader leaves, transfer leadership first and check the resulting member list. You can form a new party by sending and accepting a new invitation.
Party Finder is a directory
Party Finder helps you discover advertised groups. Joining through the Finder and accepting an ordinary invitation both lead to the native Party member list. Use that list to check who actually joined; viewing a Finder entry alone does not make you a member.
Choose EXP and item distribution
EXP Share offers Level and Contribution. The Level option distributes EXP according to member levels; Contribution uses damage dealt to the target. Choose the mode that fits how your group is fighting.
Item distribution offers Individually, Sequentially, Manually and Randomly. Individually lets members keep the eligible loot they collect; Sequentially assigns items in order; Manually gives items to the leader for distribution; Randomly assigns them at random. Check the selected mode before collecting valuable drops.
Dungeons and travel
Some dungeon entrances require a party. Being in a party does not remove level, ticket, cooldown or portal requirements. Check the Travel Hub entry and the dungeon guide before travelling.
